Yesterday on the bus I was listing to my "Best O' the Irish" playlist, I was thinking about Ireland, and how I was disappointed I wouldn't be going this year afterall.
There was this girl who was mildly intriguing to me. I didn't really know why, but all I knew is that for some reason I was drawn to her. She was looking at this book of which I could only see some random colorful pictures.
As we were moving along she turned over the book, and sure enough "IRELAND - A Travel Guide" was printed on the front. Immediately my heart stopped, I got really excited, scared, confused... All those feelings a coincidence brings.
What are these moments? Science says that coincidences are bound to happen, and that it is just the mind connecting two or more unique events. It goes even further to say, that if it wasn't for our mind making the connection, there wouldn't even be a coincidence afterall.
Hmm... but why do we (well I) so easily want to explain it by some greater plan. That perhaps it was meant to happen, and there's a reason it happened? Maybe I was meant to see that Ireland book because someone out there is telling me that I should go! Maybe if I don't go, something terrible will happen! I suppose the possibilities are endless. Who knows!
Well, regardless... in my mind a coincidence is somehow magical. Call me a sap if you will... but I must go now plan my trip to Ireland. ;-) If not that, Potawatomi here I come.
