So.. Yesterday was our occasionally annual St. Patrick's Day adventure in Chicago. Yes.. occasional as we missed last year and I've decided that it's just a day for the Irish to wander around in Chicago. You go see the river turned green. [it looks the same every year.. yet you have to go] Then you head to a parade of which you can barely see because it's like 10 people deep, and the parade itself is hardly that exciting. It's just a bunch of Irish families and politicians walking by. Then you wander to find yourself a bar that isn't ridiculously crowded and you can actually get into and buy yourself a Guinness.
Why you may ask go through the hassle? Well...most importantly it's just a day to spend with the ones you love.. your family and friends ... and celebrate just that. We say everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day. It's true. Who doesn't want to celebrate with the ones they love, right?
